How to submit samples to SIRFER

1. Contact the SIRFER manager prior to any shipment of your samples.

2. Contact the SIRFER manager if you have any question about processing or preparing samples before shipment.

3. Sample ID List: Email the SIRFER manager an excel spreadsheet with sample IDs (no special characters other than hyphens or underscore and no more than 10 characters), samples types and requested service/services.

4. Please provide contact information for billing, data reporting, and return shipping (if requested)

5. For water samples we request that you use styrofoam or any other type of coolers with cooling pad or dry ice and preferably overnight shipping. For solid samples you can use any kind of shipping container as long as the samples are secured properly.

6. Please contact the SIRFER manager for USDA plant and soil permit if your samples need to be imported from outside the country.

7.  You can use FedEX, UPS, USPS, DHL etc for shipping your samples.

8. Sample Archiving- SIRFER will archive remaining sample material for two months after the client receives the final data report. Any inquiries regarding data quality, requests for reanalysis, or requests for return of sample material (at the client's expense) must be made during this two month period. After two months SIRFER will dispose of or destroy archived samples following USDA protocols.
